Choosing where to take your next steps for your career can be a difficult process. Our Graduate Masters class of 2024 shared why they chose London Business School and their experience as they started their GM student journey.

I’ve always travelled with my family, encountering many cultures very different from ours and developing a passion for Asia. These experiences helped me understand the importance of diversity and created the desire to expose myself to different environments. This is why I did two internships abroad during my degree in France, one in Madrid and the other in Luxembourg.
These experiences convinced me even more to pursue a master’s degree abroad and to aspire to work in finance after graduating. Naturally, I started looking for a master’s degree in London, a central financial hub and a cosmopolitan city.
Thanks to my discussions with staff and alumni, I quickly realised that LBS was the only school meeting all the criteria I sought from an academic and community perspective: a practical methodology, a supportive career centre, and a strong international community of people from different backgrounds.
Although I was initially looking for a traditional Master’s in Management, I came across the LBS Global Master in Management programme. I have always been passionate about Asia, particularly Chinese culture and the way of doing business there. This programme would allow me to study at two leading institutions, opening doors to both markets later and creating a strong network in Europe and Asia.
At LBS, I cherished the possibility of personalising the studying experience by choosing courses from a wide range of options and global experiences, or even the treks proposed by the clubs. This would allow me to develop new skills that would be useful for my future career and new interests. Also, during my first months here, I already appreciated the many opportunities the school and its clubs offer. Whether you want to attend an event or play a sport and are looking for partners, you can do so anytime. As someone moving to London for the first time, I wanted to be in a school that would allow me to enjoy the city fully.
Although my journey at LBS has only just begun, it has already exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to continue it in Shanghai.
