The One-year MBA programme has been developed by our world class faculty to ensure that professionals can accelerate their learning and gain an MBA qualification in just 11-months.
Whether you are looking to progress within your current organisation or make a slight pivot, the One-year MBA will equip you with practical business knowledge, leadership capabilities, and strategic mindset needed to take the next step in your career.
The programme combines high-quality teaching with real-world application, which gives you the perfect platform to make an immediate impact in your career.
Here are a few key that truly set the One-year MBA apart:
- Accelerated learning
The prerequisite of a Master in Management or equivalent essentially requires candidates on the programme to have covered key business areas including finance, accounting and economics as part of their previous qualification. This makes sure that you can apply your knowledge in more contemporary business areas addressing key challenges and opportunities that businesses are currently facing.
- Diverse cohort
At London Business School, you will often hear us talking about a global mindset or our outstanding peer group. With the world becoming more global, the learning experience has intentionally designed to reflect this and ensure that you learn from people who don’t just come from a different background geographically but also professionally.
This can be seen in our inaugural cohort. We welcomed a class size of 33 students, with 24 different nationalities represented on the group from regions such as North America, Africa, Europe and the Middle East in the group.
- Customise your learning
From October time once you have completed a large part of the core courses, you will have the chance to tailor the programme to suit your post MBA goals through the elective portfolio.
With over 80-electives to choose from you can choose from a range of electives such as Securities Analysis and Financial Modelling taught by Scott Anderson or Economics of AI taught by Emre Ozdenoren and Alex Teytelboym, you have the flexibility to schedule your classes in a variety of different formats including weekdays, evenings, weekends and intensive block weeks.
- Career impact
With the programme being 11-months a key focus of your time on the programme will be on recruitment. You will have access to our dedicated Career Centre team, who will work with you to refine your career strategy, strengthen your personal brand and prepare you for the recruitment process. Through one-to-one coaching, CV and interview support, employer events and networking opportunities, you will be equipped with the tools and confidence to pursue your career goals.
- Learning in London

Home to emerging start-ups and major global firms, you will have a world of opportunities right at your doorstep.
We reached out to our students to find out more about their experience as student on the One-year MBA programme in London.

Vanya Kumar: “London is an exceptional place to pursue an MBA, because of the access it offers to industry. The city has a vibrant mix of startups, scale-ups, and global companies across sectors, making it easy to engage with the evolving business landscape and continuously broaden your perspective. People are extremely open and inclusive as they are easily approachable, and meaningful conversations are easy to initiate.
The strength of the LBS alumni network further amplifies this experience. Connecting with former students is seamless, and those interactions often translate into genuine mentorship and opportunities. Beyond career exposure, London enriches the MBA journey in other ways too. Its food, culture and art scene makes it an incredible place to live.”

Israel Thomas: “Living in London during my MBA at London Business School has been an incredible experience. The city brings together global business, culture and talent in a way that constantly pushes you to think bigger.
From engaging with employers and alumni across industries to learning from the diversity of people and perspectives around me every day, London has made my MBA experience far more dynamic and practical. Beyond that, I have really valued the cultural vibrancy, the international community and the sense that you are at the centre of so many important conversations shaping business and society.”

Gabriela Olivera Candia: “Coming to London for a one year MBA was a true mindset shift. Having grown up and worked mainly in Western environments, being in such a globally connected city exposed me to entirely new perspectives.
London became a gateway to the world, not only through the diversity in the classroom, but also through the ability to travel easily and experience different markets firsthand. Over the year, I explored regions across Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Asia, turning weekends into opportunities to better understand global business in practice.”
