My global experiences in Riyadh, by Amanda Prachali, EMBAD 2025

Amanda Prachali, EMBAD 2025, shares her thoughts on the faculty on the Executive MBA programme and how the global aspects of the programme have enriched her experiences. Read more below.

How would you describe the teaching style of the faculty on the EMBA programme? Are there particular professors or sessions that stood out to you and why?

The faculty at LBS bring a blend of academic depth and practical insight. Their teaching is interactive, thought-provoking, and grounded in real-world application. I was especially inspired by the entrepreneurship faculty, whose energy and expertise truly shaped my thinking. The Entrepreneurship Summer School was a defining experience-immersive, hands-on, and deeply motivating. It allowed us to test ideas in the real world and receive invaluable feedback in real time.

Do you feel the faculty are accessible and engaged beyond the classroom? Can you share any examples of support or mentorship you’ve received?

Absolutely. One of the things I’ve most appreciated is the faculty’s openness and willingness to support us beyond scheduled sessions. Several professors have taken the time to offer guidance on my startup journey, sharing strategic advice and helpful connections. Their encouragement has played a key role in shaping my confidence as a founder and leader.

How has the global aspect of the programme (e.g. Global Business Assignments, international modules, or diverse cohort) enhanced your learning experience?

The global nature of the programme has been incredibly enriching. I participated in the Global Experience in Riyadh, which offered a unique perspective on innovation, transformation, and leadership in a rapidly growing region. Visiting local companies and engaging with leaders on the ground helped me connect theory to practice in a powerful way.

In what ways have global perspectives-whether through faculty, classmates, or programme design-challenged or enriched your understanding of leadership and business?

Learning alongside such a diverse cohort has been one of the most rewarding aspects of the EMBA. The exchange of ideas, values, and leadership styles has expanded my perspective and helped me grow as a more inclusive and adaptable leader.
