Warm welcome to our EMBA-Global 2025 class!

We are pleased to announce the newest addition of the LBS and CBS community – the EMBA-Global 2025 class! This cohort consists of 57 exceptional and diverse students who commenced their Orientation week in London last week, marking their first official interaction with the rest of the staff members who will guide them through their 20-months journey, including Programme Office, the Careers Team and faculty.

This admissions cycle has been highly competitive, emphasising the continued preference for in-person EMBA programmes among candidates seeking to broaden their networks and invest time in cultivating meaningful professional relationships, as well as forming lifelong friendships.

Looking at the class composition, more than one-third are women, with a 39% representation. In terms of diversity, the cohort includes students from 25 nationalities and 46 cities across nearly every continent, with a notable increase in participants from Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. The average work experience among students is 13 years, typical for an EMBA class, ensuring a good level of seniority within the group.

The discussions and debates are expected to be rich and engaging, given the students’ diverse industry backgrounds spanning 21 different fields of expertise. As usual, the finance sector remains the most represented, accounting for 30% of the cohort, which includes various sub-fields such as Private Equity/Venture Capital, Investment and Commercial Banking, and Asset Management, followed by consulting at 12% and manufacturing at 7%.

Regarding job functions, the majority of class members hold managerial roles with specific skills across various domains, including account management, product management, finance management, and operations management, while the leading role being General Manager at 19%. This diversity is further exemplified as we are joined by a pilot and a journalist in this year’s class.

Academically speaking, the cohort is very-well prepared. We have 4 students with doctoral degrees, 5 holding a second post-graduate degree, whereas 8 of them are heavily financed trained as professional chartered accountants.

The class possesses a remarkable array of talents, showcasing a diverse set of skills that includes drummers, opera singers, dancers, horse riding instructors, black belts in Judo and Taekwondo, martial artists, yoga instructors, and authors of crime fiction.
