The London Business School community plays a huge role in the student experience. From casual networking to club events, the non-academic activities on campus provide time to switch off from lectures and assignments, while tailoring your time with us to suit your interests and goals. Here are just a couple of examples of how our students make the most of all there is to offer.
As a member of the Consulting Club, I have actively participated in several events that have enriched my understanding of the consulting industry and prepared me for recruitment challenges. The club offers a variety of resources and opportunities, including access to industry experts, networking events, and skill-building workshops. My experience so far includes:
- Workshops on Online Tests and Market Sizing:
- I attended a session led by CaseBasix, which provided a detailed roadmap for interviews with firms like McKinsey, BCG, and Bain. The session emphasized the importance of mastering digital tests and games, offering hands-on demos and access to resources tailored for consulting club members.
- Additionally, I engaged in the “Master Market Sizing” workshop by Crafting Cases enhancing my ability to handle estimation problems effectively during interviews.
- Networking Events:
- I also participated in multiple Alumni Spotlight Sessions featuring McKinsey, Strategy& and Kearney speakers. These events provided invaluable insights into individual career journeys, networking strategies, and practical advice for consulting interviews. It was inspiring to hear directly from alumni who shared actionable tips on navigating key conversations and building connections in the industry.
The Consulting Club has offered me a supportive community, cutting-edge resources, and opportunities to connect with industry professionals, reinforcing my decision to actively engage in club activities.

Student clubs have helped me stay in touch with my culture and find a space to learn about my interests. As a Junior ExCo member of the LatAm Club, I have met people from different programmes that have helped me manage my journey as a graduate masters student in London. Creating a supporting community is key for me, especially to help people struggling with adapting to a new culture. Being part of this club has allowed me to help organize social activities so all Latin American students can experience this connection and meet other Latin students from different programmes at LBS. In addition, being part of the Investment Management Club (IMC) has helped me keep updated with relevant ideas given my career aspirations. Wanting to break into the equity research industry, the IMC provided several relevant speakers, such as James Fishback, the Co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Azoria Partners. These talks have given me a sense of the practical experience of the industry. The club also organized a stock pitch competition and shared information on other competitions, which immensely helped me improve the stock pitch I used for my job interviews. These clubs and others in which I have participated have been a core part of my learning journey at LBS.
