How to apply for the LBS Sloan Masters January 2019 class

by Arione McQueenie, Recruitment Manager, Leadership Programmes

As you may be aware, the penultimate application deadline for our January 2019 class is fast approaching, on Wednesday 25th July.

This deadline is not just a key date for submitting your application; it is also an important date for those candidates wishing to apply for a scholarship, as the majority of our scholarships require you to have submitted an application by this round, in order to be eligible. You can find the full list of scholarships, and how to apply for them, via our website.

If you are a candidate applying from outside the UK or EU, we also advise that you apply by this deadline in order to meet visa requirements.

So with this in mind, how do you actually go about submitting an application? Here are my handy hints and tips to submitting a strong application:

    • Get started on your essays. We would advise that you open an application as soon as possible, as from here you can download the essay document (there is one personal statement, two essays and an optional statement to complete). Please take your time with your essays, as it is your opportunity to show us who you are, and why you are interested in the programme.
    • Submit your reference details. Using the online application form, you can also provide the details of your references and submit this section of the form first. We will then send a specific form to your references for them to complete and return. We advise doing this ASAP, as this will give your references plenty of time to complete the form. Also, we cannot start assessing your application until at least one reference has been returned.
    • Use the reduced application process. We understand that Sloan candidates are extremely busy, and therefore we have a reduced application process. In order to submit your application all you need is; the completed online application form, your CV, essays, one reference, and transcripts. This means you can submit your application without a GMAT/Executive Assessment test. Our Admissions team will then be in touch to let you know if any additional information is required.

If you would like to discuss the application process further, we advise that you get in touch with our Recruitment team at sloan@london.edu.
