You can find below the highlights from the sessions or listen to the webinar in full.
How to Submit a Strong Application for the MiF
In October, our Senior Recruitment and Admissions Manager, Peter Johnson, and I spoke about the MiF application process and how best to approach it.
I covered the best ways to research the programme:
- Attend an information session
- Speak to a MiF Student Ambassador
- Attend a coffee chat on campus with the recruitment team
- Submit your CV for review so that we can give you feedback on your profile before you apply
Peter then went through the application requirements and gave advice on how to approach the essay questions, and outlined qualities we are looking for in our candidates.
For all of his advice, you can take a listen to the whole webinar below.
Day in the life of a MiF student
Two of our fantastic students from the class of 2019, Arpita Bhabhera and Tamara Fournier Marcin, shared what it’s like being a MiF student at LBS in our webinar back in June.
Arpita spoke about the TEDx conference she helped organise and the incredible treks and trips she took part in at LBS. While Tamara spoke about her experience of being part of the Women in Business club and organising the annual Women in Business Conference. She also shared her experience of treks, including the inspiring London to Paris Cycling Trek she participated in!
MiF Programme Overview
Back in August, we heard from our MiF Programme Director, Kate Forman, who gave an in-depth view of the MiF programme.
We discussed the programme structure, including our 5 core courses, our extensive list of 40 electives you can choose from like Elements of Machine Learning, FinTech and Behavioural Finance. We also spoke about the practitioner courses we offer, for example Asset Management and CFO, and the professional and technical skills courses you can opt for like consultative selling and financial modelling.
We also took a look at the incredible global exposure the programme offers, from our global immersion elective, which takes place in Frankfurt and Paris this year, and our exchange programmes with Colombia Business School and others like IE in Madrid and NUS in Singapore.
