This year the LBS Sloan hits the milestone of 50 years, and of course we are celebrating!
We started the celebrations last month with the Dean’s Lecture. In a packed-out lecture theatre, Dean François Ortalo-Magné led the LBS Sloan 2018 class and alumni in discussing ways in which words, images and analogies can be used for creativity, changing perspectives and achieving greater goals. The energy in the room was powerful.
Of course we also caught up on the latest news, and heard from one alumna that she was off to Harvard, and from another who has joined a medical technology start-up. We are proud and delighted that the earrings worn by Meghan Markle when she announced her engagement came from Birks and Mayors – the luxury Canadian jewellery company headed by LBS Sloan Fellow Jean-Christophe Bédos, President and Chief executive of Canadian jeweller Birks Group (jewellery fans, and business fans can read more here).
The next 50 years of the LBS Sloan

These candidates have made the LBS Sloan their sophisticated choice to help them develop and manage their next steps. They have outstanding experience and had really done their homework. If they are representative of the future of Sloan, then the next 50 years is in good shape!
