What is the LBS Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy?

by Arione McQueenie, Recruitment Manager, Leadership Programmes

Happy New Year! It is that time of year again when we start to make resolutions for the year ahead. It is often when making these resolutions that we examine the past year and how we can improve on ourselves for the years to come. For many, this means considering returning to education in order to participate in lifelong learning and to realise long harboured ambitions of a career transition or entrepreneurship.

Often, the first thought when considering a Masters programme is a full time MBA; however, if you are an experienced senior executive with considerable leadership and strategic decision-making experience, then you may wish to consider our LBS Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy.

What is the LBS Sloan?

The LBS Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy programme is a 12 month, full time programme designed for senior, experienced, high-calibre professionals and executives.

The only one of its kind in Europe, the programme challenges you to confront the gaps in your knowledge and refine your skills to become a truly effective global leader. Whether you are taking on a C-suite role, changing industry or setting up a new business, Sloan will give you the skills and drive to exceed your goals and network with an exceptional peer group

Sounds great, would it be a good fit for me?

On average, Sloan fellows possess 18 years work experience, with extensive managerial responsibilities. Our Sloan fellows are often senior Executives or Entrepreneurs who want to gain the skills and confidence to accelerate to C-suite or board positions, change industry or start their own businesses. If this sounds familiar, then the Sloan may be the programme for you.

How do I apply?

The LBS Sloan programme has one intake per year – in January, and we are looking forward to welcoming our January 2018 class later this month.

Our next intake will be January 2019, applications for which are open now. Our first application deadline takes place on the 7th March 2018.

In order to ease the application process you can submit with just the completed online application form, essays, CV, academic documents (certificate or transcripts if available), one recommendation and the application fee. This means you can submit your application pre-GMAT/EA test. The admissions team will then let you know if additional information is required
