In a year that has seen the #Metoo movement, Times Up campaign and the deadline for gender pay gap reporting, it finally feels like women’s issues are coming to the fore. It is therefore more important than ever that we have women in our Leadership Programmes, to ensure that women’s voices are being heard, and to allow them to position themselves as the leaders of the future.
LBS has empowered women for 50 years, and we are committed to addressing the global imbalance of women leaders. We believe the best way to address this disparity is through education, and women on our Leadership programmes feel the same. Female students on our Leadership Programmes often state that they come to LBS in order to enhance their leadership skills, accelerate their careers and to ensure that there are more women in the future in senior positions.
We have a number of resources at LBS to support women in their career journey, including our Women in Business club. The WiB is one of our largest and most active clubs on campus, providing support to aspiring women leaders through a range of activities. These include a flagship conference, events, networking, development, recruitment and mentoring. You can find out more about the recent Women in Business Conference via their website.
We are committed to increasing the number of women on our programmes, and we offer a range of scholarships to assist with this initiative. Scholarships include:
The LBS Sloan Women’s Scholarship – Open to all self-funding female candidates for the LBS Sloan Masters. This scholarship awards up to 50% remission of the tuition fees.
The 30% Club Scholarship – Open to all female Executive MBA applicants. This scholarship awards up to 50% remissions of the tuition fees.
Both scholarships require you to have submitted an application to the relevant programme and to have completed an additional application form. Please see the links provided for further details.
