Executive MBA: Could you be eligible for a GMAT/Executive Assessment waiver?

by Arione McQueenie, Recruitment Manager, Leadership Programmes

Applying for Business School is an exciting and nerve wracking time, and candidates are often daunted by the time required for the application process. We understand that one of the most time consuming parts of the application process is taking the GMAT or Executive Assessment, especially for senior Executives who are applying for our Executive MBA programme.

In order to ease the application process for these senior Executives, we are making changes to the application process, and we will now be offering GMAT/EA waivers to candidates with a suitable level of seniority and demonstrated academic strength in a quantitative area.

Waiver decisions will be made using a holistic approach. However, you may be eligible for a waiver if you possess:

  • C-level experience in a heavily quantitative role from a medium/large organisation
  • A Masters qualification and higher in a quantitative field
  • Relevant Professional Qualifications ie: CFA Level 2, ACCA Level 4
  • Are a Vice President or Senior VP in Business Services, Technology sector with demonstrated experience in leading a function for a minimum of 2 years

This is by no means an exhaustive list, and if you feel you qualify for a waiver, you should get in touch with the Recruitment team with a copy of your CV and the reason for your waiver request. The Admissions Team will review applicants who meet the eligibility requirements, and we will then let you know within 7 working days whether your request has been successful.

The first application deadline for the EMBA January 2019 class has now passed, and the next deadline takes place on Monday 8th October. If you would like to apply for a waiver before this deadline, please get in touch with the Recruitment Team as soon as possible.
