The New Year has many of us thinking about personal or professional growth and a masters is a great way to explore both. By investing in a global network and developing expertise in core business and finance topics, you’re setting yourself up for a transformational 2024 and high-flying 2025!

If you’re worried that it’s too late or aren’t sure where to start, the Recruitment team is here to help you. We believe that a profile review (CV or LinkedIn review) or a chat with us should be the first step in ensuring you’re on the right path.

Charlotte Smith, Graduate Masters Recruitment and Admissions Director says, “When people invest in their education, not only is it an investment in their future, also an investment of their time, money, and a commitment to stepping away from life as they know it while they study. So, it’s really important that they get it right, and to do that they need to commit to doing some research to ensure they land on the right school and programme for them.”

With a number of Graduate Masters Programmes available for recent graduates, it’s important to take the time to understand the differences and reflect on your ideal curriculum. But if you’re still unsure, we can point you in the right direction based on your profile and post-study goals.

The profile review is an informal process in which we look at a CV or LinkedIn to assess eligibility for programme(s) of interest. If you’re not confident about your CV yet, don’t worry! The format doesn’t need to be perfect as the review won’t count towards the admissions process in any way, and we can give you tips to finetune your profile or share the LBS template. The initial profile feedback can give prospective students a sense of reassurance, suggest topics to research and even provide clarity on the right programme to apply to – after all, you can submit your profile for as many programmes as you want, but you can only apply to one.

It doesn’t stop there: after the profile review, my colleagues and I can share ways to improve your candidacy, explain the admissions process and help you identify strengths to highlight in an application. This one-to-one consultation is a great opportunity for you to connect with the Recruitment and Admissions team one-to-one, learn more about the School and further assess whether we are the right fit for you. Our goal is to ensure that each prospective student leaves the consultation feeling well-informed and clear on their next steps.

Reflecting on her experience last year, MiM 204 Student Ambassador Namsai Sethpornpong says, “The CV review and consultation process was invaluable for my application to LBS. Not only did it calm my nerves and boost my confidence, but it helped me to prepare my story. Only two days after I dropped my CV, Elizabeth – Recruitment and Admissions Manager, reached out to schedule a coffee chat that helped me approach the application process with more confidence and structure. She also pointed me to resources I hadn’t known about and connected me with a Student Ambassador who shared his experience at LBS.”

Our friendly Recruitment team are on hand to support you throughout your application journey. To get started, submit your CV or LinkedIn here and we’ll be in touch!
