Navigating the Sloan interview process

Now that you have applied for the LBS Sloan Masters, you are probably focusing on the interview process and what to expect. To help you prepare, we have outlined the process and how to approach each stage with confidence!

Kira

The interview process begins with the Kira Assessment, a video- based evaluation, which allows us to meet you virtually ahead of the interview. This step helps us assess key traits like leadership, openness, and resilience, which we can then discuss further in our interview.

You will be asked 3 questions, and it should take no longer than 20-30 minutes to complete. You will also have a chance to do a practice question to help you get comfortable with the format before the assessment begins.

We would encourage you to think about examples from your professional or personal experiences that highlight your strengths and align with the traits being evaluated. This will help you provide clear and impactful responses.

Interview

Once you have completed the Kira assessment, you will be invited to an interview.

  • Interviews are one to one and conducted by a member of the Admissions Team. You have the option to attend in person at our London campus or online via Zoom.
  • They will last 45 – 60 minutes – while most of your time will be spent responding to questions, you are interviewing us as well, and there will always be time for your questions for us.
  • Interviews will always be conducted in English.
  • Preparing for your interview should be straightforward. The interviewer will have seen the application and have areas to explore. LBS Sloan candidates have such vast experience that we sometimes find it difficult to focus on just one or two areas. No presentation or other materials are needed – but do re-read your application and be ready to bring some of the highlights (and challenges) to life with specific examples.

For LBS Sloan Masters candidates, it is often a long time since you’ve sat in the interviewee chair. Rest assured there are no trick questions! We’ll be looking to find out: why you have chosen this programme, why now, how you will contribute to a high calibre class and whether this is the right platform to support your future plans.

Once your interview is done, the feedback along with your application and Kira feedback will be discussed with the Admissions Committee, which comprises of members from the Programme Team and Admissions Team. We will aim to give you a decision within one week of your interview.
